As a rule, 25% VAT should be added when you invoice as a private individual. However, there are a number of exceptions.
For you who are an artist, when you invoice as a self-employed artist through Worknode, you must apply 25% VAT, according to the regulations Worknode follows. If your customer is a VAT-liable company, this does not affect you as the company has the right to offset input VAT against output VAT. If your customer is a private individual or association that is not required to account for VAT, your price must be 25% higher. Therefore, remember to state your price to private individuals and associations including VAT so that you receive the correct compensation.
Worknode has an obligation to manually approve VAT-exempt invoices before they are sent out to customers. It must then be clearly stated which VAT exemption is applicable to the invoice, this is written in the text line of the invoice.

Of course, you can invoice companies abroad via us.
However, keep in mind that in order to invoice VAT-free without a company, you need an approved VAT number for the company if the company is located in the EU.
VAT-free invoices also need to be approved manually, so it can take up to 3 working days before the invoice is sent to the customer, which can be useful to know when choosing payment terms.
Currencies you can use on your invoice are Euro, USD, GBP, NOK, DKK and in SEK.
However, wages are always paid in Swedish kronor at the exchange rate used by the bank when the payment is received.

With Worknode, those who want to invoice without a company can receive their salary in a fast and flexible way.
Under Finances/My Salary, you can specify whether you want to make manual withdrawals of your salary or whether you want your salary to be paid to you automatically once the invoice has been paid.
If you want to make manual withdrawals, your balance will be registered in your Worknode account the same afternoon that the payment from the customer arrives in the Worknode client funds account. You can then make a withdrawal and your salary will normally be paid the following day.
If you have indicated that you want automatic withdrawals, your salary will be registered on the same afternoon that your invoice arrives in the Worknode client funds account. It is then normally paid to your bank the following working day.

Here are the main elements that must be included on an invoice in Sweden:

The amount you should invoice for salary depends on several factors, such as your profession, level of experience and the competitive situation. One tip is to calculate your salary plus tax and social security contributions - and then add a profit margin. Worknode has a handy calculator where you can work out how much to invoice to get the salary you want.
-
The hourly rate you should charge also depends on your profession, your experience and what is standard in the industry. A good way to calculate this is to divide your desired annual salary by the number of hours worked in a year (usually around 1 800 hours).
-
If something has gone wrong with an invoice you sent, you need to create a credit note. When you credit an invoice, you create a negative invoice for the same amount as the original invoice, so that you end up with zero. You can then write a new invoice with the correct details.
We know that there can be a lot to keep track of when invoicing as a private individual. That's why you can always turn to Worknode support for advice and support.

Many companies pay their invoices on the last day of payment. It may therefore take a few more days for your invoice to go through Worknode's system and become visible in your balance.
If a payment is not made on time, an automatic payment reminder is sent out, followed by a collection notice and then a final notice letter.
After the final notice, you can decide whether you want to proceed with the Enforcement Service, albeit at a cost.
If a dispute arises between the supplier and the client, Worknode will recommend how to proceed. The dispute is between the client and the contractor, in which case Worknode cannot be held responsible for the work performed.
Invoicing without a company should feel safe. That's why you can always turn to Worknode support for advice and support.

Yes, if you invoice as a private individual, you can invoice another private individual. In that case, you need to enter the personal identity number of the person you are invoicing.
If the invoice is not paid, we need the social security number in order to send the invoice to debt collection.
-
As a consultant, you can invoice more than one employee, as you have to cover extra costs such as health insurance, pension and vacation. A general rule is to bill 2-3 times the salary you would be paid if you were employed somewhere.
-
Under Swedish law, an invoice must contain the following information: the invoice number, the invoice date, the names and addresses of the seller and the buyer, the seller's VAT registration number (NB! Not required if you invoice via Worknode), the description and quantity of goods or services, the unit price excluding VAT, any discount, the tax rate and amount, and the total amount payable by the customer.
-
Under Swedish law, a debt can be sent to debt collection if the invoice is still unpaid after two payment reminders. The first reminder can be sent at the earliest 14 days after the invoice was sent and the second reminder can be sent after another 14 days. If the customer still doesn't pay, the debt can be sent to debt collection.
